Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. Chattaladae
A Phalaenopsis in the polychilos tribe, Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. Chattaladae has thick, glossy flowers that are solid red and deep in colour. Spikes are long and serrated and capable of living for several years- flowering continually, so do not cut the flower spike off unless it is brown and dried up.
This Phalaenopsis does not need a winter dip in temperature to initiate spiking, instead they need constant warm temperatures and bright light to flower.
The Chattaladae is a newly discovered variety of this species that has stunning solid red colour and even waxier flowers.
