A member of section Umbellatae. This rare species is native to Yunnan province China and Laos. Despite its rarity, this is an easy plant to grow. Flowering is in spring. These can grow into small growing specimen plants with dozens of inflorescences. Will grow well under Phalaenopsis conditions, preferring to stay evenly moist all year.
Growths are produced on scrambling rhizomes with 1” – 3” between growths. Individual growths will be 4” – 6” tall. Inflorescences are produced basally and will be 5” – 7” tall. Plants will proliferate better with more light than other bulbyphyllums.
